Host a Vision Banner Party

This is for group settings like community events, workshops, or house parties.

🪑 Setup Needs

  • Tables and chairs

  • Table coverings (plastic or craft paper)

  • Drying/display area

  • Optional: Music, candles, altar, reflection prompts

🧵 Supplies to Provide

Fabric

  • Pre-cut fabric: 24" × 38.5" (includes top sleeve and seam allowance)

  • Or cut on-site with scissors and measuring tools

Art Supplies

  • Fabric markers, paint, gesso, brushes

  • Acrylic paint (don’t over-thin), sponges, stencils

  • Steam-A-Seam 2 sheets and irons (or spray adhesive)

  • Glue sticks, fabric glue, hot glue guns

  • Beads, fringe, buttons, etc.

Tools

  • Fabric scissors, rotary cutters, measuring tape

  • Irons and ironing boards

  • Chalk for marking, painter’s tape to hold fabric in place

💡 Facilitation Ideas

  • Opening ritual: ask participants to reflect on their vision for the future

  • Sample banners for inspiration

  • Prompts or intention cards at each table

  • Sharing circle at the end

🧽 Cleanup

  • Wet wipes, trash bags, labeled bins

  • Hanging line or racks to dry/display finished pieces

📬 Mailing

  • Before sending in your vision banners, take a photo of each and send it to kat@gatheringofinterbeing.org

  • Fold gently (use tissue paper if needed)

  • Enclose note if banners are unfinished

  • Try to keep close to the specified size
